Great Lakes Theater Company presents a new staging of Shakespeare's Hamlet in March. One of the greatest tragedies ever written, this masterpiece contains many of the Bard's most quoted lines and most renowned scenes, with the lead role viewed as maybe the defining character that an actor can take on during his career. In recent years it's been played by Benedict Cumberbatch and Paul Giamatti. This Cleveland production is directed by Charles Fee.
In the Kingdom of Denmark Prince Hamlet plans his revenge on the uncle who murdered his father, and now sits on the throne. After a period of self-imposed exile, the dispossessed prince makes his return from the shadows, consumed by grief and a lust for revenge against the man who betrayed him.
