The famed Shakespearean tragedy Macbeth graces the Hanna Theatre for Great Lakes Theatre's 2025/26 season. Since Macbeth's first staging in 1606, the play has been performed many times, including throughout the 18th and 19th centuries. The story has also been told throughout modern times via theater and film as well as inspiring literature and music, making it one of the most enduring and influential works of all time.

This painterly musical comes to Hanna Theatre this fall, courtesy of Great Lakes Theater. Widely considered to be Stephen Sondheim's masterpiece, the Pulitzer Prize-winning show takes us behind the easel and into the life of unconventional painter Georges Seurat as he faces the choice between creative perfection and personal happiness in the shape of his mistress and model Dot.
