Formerly a principal dancer with the Cleveland ballet and scholar under balletmaster George Balanchine himself, the renowned company's resident Artistic Director Gladisa Guadalupe rounds off the 2019/20 season with a hotly anticipated production of celebrated ballet comique The Magic Flute.
Set to the enchanting music of Mozart's operatic score, fairytale and ritual collide in dazzling displays of breathtaking dance and lighthearted humour. Its story explores the fate of a prince and princess who must undergo a series of mystical trials before they can enjoy their happily ever after together. Throw in sumptuous costumes, supernatural creatures and the titular instrument at the center of it all and you've got a match made in ballet heaven.
