The Cleveland Orchestra explores the vibrancy of impressionism in this program led by conductor Klaus Makela, culminating in Ravel's unforgettable Spanish rhythm-inspired masterpiece Bolero. Originally written for Belle Epoque dancer Ida Rubenstein in 1928, it is widely considered Ravel's most famous composition and is a stunning display of dance-infused orchestral color. From Frank Zappa to the Winter Olympics, it is a cultural touchstone that must be experienced live at least once in a lifetime.
